Costa Rica Fishing The Great Get A Way
from:One of the favorite past times of many vacationers is to go deep sea diving. Not only are there beautiful marine life and plants there is something mystical about being underneath the water. After a deep-sea dive many of these vacationers decide that they would like to take a slice of this heaven home. In order to achieve this they now turn to deep-sea fishing. The marine life looks great in the water and even better on the wall of the study at home!
There are many popular geographical locations that offer the diverse deep-sea diving experience. All of them have different features that truly set them apart from the rest. One of the most beautiful though is the Costa Rica area. The Costa Rica fishing will not disappoint you. Not only will you come home with a beautiful species sample, but also some good eating. There is a wide selection of fish to choose from when setting out on the Costa Rica fishing adventure.
The sailfish is one of the most popular hunts in the Costa Rica fishing expedition. These fish have made their way to the wondrous waters of Costa Rica and into the dreams of every angler around the world. The time of year does not matter when looking to hook a sailfish they are there yearlong. The tournaments however are held mainly in February, but can be expected anywhere from December to March. In the Costa Rica waters a fisherman can expect to hook anywhere from 15-20 sailfish per good fishing day!
The gigantic Marlin is another prized hook for anglers around the world. These fish can grow to around 200 pounds and can give you a run for your money. If it is Marlin that you are looking for they are easiest caught in the Southern waters of Costa Rica. Many of the Marlin anglers will stay around the Golfito area for the optimal results.
Another great Costa Rica fishing adventure is the hunt for Dorado. The Dorado is one of the leading catches in the Costa Rica waters. They are very popular because of their wonderful taste. They are very colorful fish that are very quick, so you better eat your Wheaties before setting out. Some anglers have reported that the Dorado can reach about 50 miles per hour! The best time to fish for the Dorado is between November and May, when they are most abundant.
There are several other types of fish that can be caught on a vacation for Costa Rica fishing. Nightlife is great and the day fishing is the best. There is no competition for a vacation in Costa Rica. Other fish that can be found in the area are Roosterfish, Snapper, Whaoo, Snook and Tuna; some good eating.
