Fly Fishing Gear For Women
from:Years back it was fairly uncommon to see a female trudge through the water looking for a trophy fish. Not any more if you have been fishing lately you have seen many women out there with the best of them. Today not only are women more involved in the workforce, sports, but also fishing. Many of the fishing companies have taken note of the rise in female anglers and started producing lines geared toward the female fish lover. Women love the outdoors just like the men do. The myth of a female being helpless and not loving sports such as fishing is ridiculous. Many women enjoy the hunting and fishing experience, plus it gives them that extra time with their partner.
Fly-fishing is one of the most popular methods of fishing among women. You can see these women in their wading boots, caps out there reeling them in. Fly fishing gear ranges in weights and styles, which is very efficient for the female fisher. Now instead of borrowing the heavier fishing rod of their husband women can enjoy the lighter graphite rods. Shorter rods are also very helpful since women are typically not as tall as their male counterparts. The different graphite rods can be used for the ultimate fly fishing experience.
The rods of fly fishing gear can be purchased to take the smaller size hand and wrist of a female into consideration. Now the playing field is equaled since women can fish with the same type of fly fishing gear only made for their frame. Watch out men now she might take some of those bragging rights from you! With fly fishing there are no nasty creepy crawlers to hook either, just the artificial fly and you are off to catch your fish.
Instead of the oversized shirt borrowed from the husband and a life jacket that is two times to big, now there are lines of accessories for females. Life jackets, wading boots, caps, shirts and coveralls for the in-water experience are all available. Fly fishing gear has changed drastically in the last several years and is even better now that women are included.
Of course the typical fly fishing gear as far as the weights, bait and other incidentals are not going to change from the female to male angler. The same type of artificial flies can be used, only many of the females are colorfully designed for the impeccable eye. Women now have the same types of equipment to allow them the pleasure and relaxation of fly-fishing. Fishing is one of those great hobbies that can be equal to men and women. I
