Rebel Fishing Lures: An American Fishing Tradition

There are some pieces of equipment that are just a must in any angler's tackle box, and Rebel fishing lures are one such item. Founded in Fort Smith Arkansas in 1961 by George Perrin, the plastic mold injection company began making a small, minnow like plastic lure that would mimic the action of a fish in the water in 1963. By using a walk the dog or other topwater retrieval method along the top of vegetation lines and cover, the large bass will literally run to the surface after the jumping minnow.
